How your drawings are handled

Last updated 24 September 2026

A plain description of what happens to the drawing sets you put into Wattson, written so you can decide what to upload before you upload it. It is meant to be read, not skimmed past.

What we store

When you upload a drawing set, Wattson reads every page and keeps the text from all of them, plus basic file details: file name, sheet count, who uploaded it and when. That text is what answers questions. For four trades — electrical, mechanical, architectural and civil — the individual sheets are also kept as drawings so they can be opened on the Plans page. Other trades are kept as text only. The original full-set PDF is not retained. Panel schedules are also stored as structured rows so answers about circuits and feeds come from the table, not from a guess.

Who can see it

Your sets are walled off to your company. Only people signing in with your company's email domain can see them. Other Wattson customers cannot see your drawings and you cannot see theirs. This separation is enforced in the database itself, not just hidden in the interface. Please sign in with a business email, not a personal one, so the wall stays clean.

How the AI is used

To answer a question, Wattson sends that question and the relevant sheet text to Anthropic, the AI provider behind the answers, under commercial terms that do not allow your data to be used to train their models. Only the sheets a question needs are sent. Answers are generated from your set alone: Wattson cites the sheet an answer came from, or says the answer is not in the set. We do not train any model of our own on your drawings.

Our access as the operator

The people running Wattson have administrative access to the system; that is necessary to operate it, fix problems and support you. We do not browse or use your drawings except to run the service or to help you directly, and we do not share or sell your data to anyone.

Deleting your data

You can delete any set at any time from inside the app. Deleting a set removes its record, its sheets, its text, its schedule rows and every stored sheet drawing. Questions you asked about a deleted set may remain in your history without the drawings behind them. To have an account and all of its sets removed, write to the address below.

Where it lives

Data is stored in a private, access-controlled cloud database (Supabase) and the application runs on Vercel, both in the United States. Page-view analytics record which pages are visited and on what kind of device; they do not record what you ask or what your drawings contain.

Sending us a set for a report

If you email us a drawing set for a one-page report rather than uploading it yourself, we handle it the same way: it is loaded into an account for your company, the report is written from it, and it is deleted on request. It is never used for anything else.

Wattson is in active development and these practices will evolve; this page is updated when they do. Because drawing sets are your clients' design documents, upload only what you are comfortable having processed as described here. Questions: hello@liteworxco.com.
